Terms of service
Last updated: August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases made through the Chase the Swallow website.
By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms.
About us

Our products
Chase the Swallow presents limited-edition art, apparel, textiles, furniture and other artist-designed pieces.
The edition quantity applicable to each product is stated on its product page.
Where an item is described as an Edition of 100, for example, a maximum of 100 pieces within that commercial edition will be produced, excluding any separately identified artist proofs, prototypes or production samples where applicable.
Certain pieces are individually numbered and include a unique digital authentication record.
Limited editions
Our editions are produced in strictly controlled quantities.
Adding an item to your basket does not reserve it.
Your edition is secured once your order has been successfully completed and payment accepted.
Unless a particular number has been specifically offered or agreed, edition numbers are allocated according to our production and fulfilment process. Purchasing earlier does not necessarily guarantee a lower edition number.
Authentication and ownership
Selected editions include a unique QR code or other authentication identifier connected to the LTD/EDN authentication system.
This allows the authenticity of the physical edition to be verified and, where available, allows its ownership to be registered.
If the physical edition is subsequently sold or transferred, the registered ownership may be transferred to the new collector, helping preserve the provenance of the piece.
Digital authentication is provided as a record of authenticity and ownership. It does not constitute a financial product, cryptocurrency, investment or guarantee of the future value of an edition.
Product images and colour
We take considerable care to represent each edition accurately.
However, colours can appear differently depending on your screen, device and display settings.
Textiles, handmade pieces and natural materials may also contain minor variations between individual pieces.
These variations are part of the character of the product and do not necessarily constitute a fault.
Prices
Prices are displayed on the website in the currency shown.
Any applicable delivery charges will be displayed before you complete your purchase.
We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order that we have already accepted.
Ordering
When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the products contained within your order.
You will receive confirmation electronically after placing your order.
We reserve the right not to accept an order where, for example:
• An edition has sold out
• A product is unavailable
• We cannot deliver to your location
• Payment cannot be authorised
• There has been an obvious pricing or product-information error
If payment has already been taken for an order we cannot fulfil, we will refund the amount paid.
Payment
Payment is made using the payment methods displayed at checkout.
Payments are processed securely through Shopify and/or our chosen payment providers.
You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method supplied.
Production and made-to-order editions
Some limited editions may be produced specifically following an order or after a release period has closed.
Where this applies, an estimated production or dispatch period will be shown on the relevant product page.
Handmade furniture and other specialist editions may have longer production lead times.
We will contact you if a significant unexpected delay affects your order.
Delivery
Delivery availability, costs and estimated times vary depending on the product and destination.
Full details are available in our Delivery Policy and on individual product pages where appropriate.
Large or fragile editions may require specialist delivery arrangements.
International customers may be responsible for applicable import duties, customs charges and local taxes.
Cancellation and returns
Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to cancel eligible purchases.
Details of cancellation periods, returns and return costs are set out in our Returns Policy and Refund Policy.
The fact that an item forms part of a limited edition does not, by itself, remove your statutory cancellation rights.
Different rules may apply to products genuinely made to your individual specifications or personalised specifically for you. Where this applies, it will be clearly explained before purchase.
Faulty or damaged goods
We take considerable care in producing and checking each edition.
If your item arrives damaged, is faulty, is not as described or you receive the wrong product, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@chasetheswallow
We will provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights.
Nothing in these Terms limits the rights available to you under UK consumer law.
Intellectual property
All artworks, designs, photographs, graphics, logos, text and other creative material appearing on this website remain protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights belonging to their respective owners.
Purchasing a physical edition does not transfer copyright or reproduction rights in the artwork.
You may own the physical piece, but you may not reproduce, commercially exploit, distribute or create derivative products from the artwork without permission from the relevant rights holder.
Resale and transfer
Unless expressly stated otherwise, you are free to sell or transfer ownership of a physical edition you have purchased.
Where digital ownership registration is available, we recommend transferring the authentication record to the new owner so that the provenance associated with the edition remains current.
Website use
You must not misuse this website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation or use it for any unlawful purpose.
All website content remains subject to applicable copyright, trademark and other intellectual property protections.
Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation or rights which cannot lawfully be excluded under consumer legislation.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when our contract with you was formed.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory rights available to you under the laws applicable to you.
